Mosaic Midwifery

I am a Certified Professional Midwife and Registered Midwife in the State of Colorado.
I believe that every woman and family should be able to experience the birth of their child in a safe and loving environment; wherever that may be for them. I will provide your family with holistic, individualized care, backed by theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and an inherent trust in the birthing process.

I have been involved in birth since 2001 either as a midwifery student, an apprentice, a client or as the primary care giver. It has been my passion to walk on the path with women and families on their journey into motherhood, fatherhood and family life.

EDUCATION
My path to midwifery has been filled with twists and turns culminating in a wide variety of experience. I appreciate the experiences that I have had and believe they have made me a well rounded midwife.

I have a Bachelor's degree of Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Women's Studies, focusing on Women's Health.

I attended a year of midwifery school in Dunedin, New Zealand. After a year of hospital based midwifery training I exited the program and returned to Colorado to seek out training that would better fit my philosophy of birth.

  • I have trained with 4 midwives in Colorado, acting as an apprentice/intern.

  • I attended prenatals, births, and postpartum visits as the primary under supervision at the Mountain Midwifery Birth Center, in Englewood Colorado.
  • I am certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and Infant/Adult CPR.
  • I currently and continuously attend local and national conferences to further my education and training.
